Terms & Conditions
Open Heavens is a free, open-air music event and the next event is scheduled for Saturday, 13 September 2025, held on private property. These terms and conditions have been established to ensure the safety, enjoyment, and respectful participation of all attendees, volunteers, partners, and contributors.
Event Ownership and Purpose
Open Heavens is owned and operated by the Prethink Foundation, a registered not-for-profit organisation. The 2025 event will promote the work of Compassion. The event is made possible through the generous support of our volunteers and donors, who are integral to its vision and delivery. Any donations are gladly received and will be directed towards this and future Open Heavens direct event expenses.
Postponement or Cancellation
As Open Heavens is held outdoors, the organisers reserve the right to postpone or cancel the event at any time, including on the day of the event, due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances. Should a postponement occur, all volunteer commitments, donor and sponsor contributions, and partnerships will be honoured and transferred to the new event date.
Notice of any changes to the event will be communicated via email and through official event channels, including social media and the event website.
Registration and Privacy
Attendance is free but registration is required. As part of the registration process, we collect names and email addresses in order to manage attendance and provide event updates. Your information will be handled securely and used solely for communication related to Open Heavens and future events hosted by Open Heavens. We are committed to protecting your privacy and will never sell or share your personal information with third parties.
Photography, Video & Media Consent
Photographers and videographers will be present throughout the event. By attending, you give consent to be photographed and/or filmed, and for this material to be used in promotional or marketing materials for Open Heavens and its partners. If you have any concerns about this, please speak to a team member upon arrival.
Volunteers
Open Heavens relies on a dedicated group of volunteers, known collectively as the Open Heavens Collective, to assist with the smooth running of the event. Volunteers will receive a briefing and be expected to carry out the tasks and responsibilities they have signed up for. Volunteers must behave respectfully, follow instructions from team leads, and contribute to a safe and welcoming environment. The organisers are not liable for injuries, accidents, or personal matters involving volunteers.
Sponsors and Donors
We are grateful to the sponsors and donors who contribute to making Open Heavens possible. Their involvement and recognition will be preserved in the event of a postponement, and any agreed partnerships will carry over to the rescheduled date, ensuring continued visibility and engagement.
Attendee Guidelines
Attendees are encouraged to bring picnic rugs or low camp chairs to enjoy the event comfortably. We ask that all items are used respectfully and do not obstruct the view of others. You may be asked to relocate to a more suitable area if necessary.
Please note:
No structures, tents, or equipment requiring staking into the ground are permitted
All belongings should be set up in designated audience areas
Attendees must respect the venue, land, and those around them.
Behaviour and Conduct
Open Heavens is committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and uplifting environment. Disorderly, aggressive, or inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated, and organisers reserve the right to remove any individual who does not adhere to these expectations.
Emergency and Safety Procedures
In the event of a medical or safety emergency, event organisers will notify and liaise with the appropriate emergency services. Volunteers will be available to assist attendees as required.
Liability
Attendance at Open Heavens is at your own risk. The Prethink Foundation and event organisers accept no responsibility for personal injury, loss, theft, or damage to property sustained during the event, whether by attendees, volunteers, or other participants.
